Lockheed Martin Dynatheather
As the location for the
first Iwerks Large Format Theater in the country, the New Mexico
Museum of Natural History and Science has a great tradition of giant
screen cinema. The new Lockheed Martin Extreme Screen DynaTheater
adds to that history by bringing the latest in technology to the
giant screen in Albuquerque.
The Museum's new theater opened on October 2, 1999 with the
spectacular film "Everest." The new DynaTheater features a giant
screen measuring 65 feet wide by 49 feet high, and stadium-style
seating for 284 people compared to the former theater's 96 seats.

Founded in
1889, the University of New Mexico
now occupies 600 acres along old Route 66 in the heart of
Albuquerque, a city of more than 700,000 people. From the
magnificent mesas to the west,
past the banks of the historic Rio Grande to the Sandia Mountains to
the east, Albuquerque is a blend of culture and cuisine, styles and
stories, people, pursuits and panoramas.
UNM offers a unique campus environment with a Pueblo Revival
architectural theme that echoes
the buildings of the nearby Pueblo Indian villages. The nationally
recognized Campus
Arboretum offers an outstanding
botanical experience in the midst of one of New Mexico's great
public open spaces.
